Mission Statement: The Columbia Park Elementary community supports the development of our students as life-long, independent learners and responsible citizens, who value diversity and defend human rights in all environments

R.A.I.S.E. “Respect all individuals, self and the environment”

Principal’s Message:

Exciting news from CPE! There are many fantastic learning opportunities and activities taking place at our school. This month, Grade 1 students will start their skating lessons, Grade 3 students will begin skiing and snowboarding, and Grade 7 students will kick off their curling program.

Our extra-curricular Basketball program is going strong, with students showcasing great sportsmanship and teamwork both on and off the court as they play against other schools. On Monday afternoons, our younger students are participating in Primary Explorations. They’re exploring various subjects such as coding, outdoor activities like snowshoeing in the forestry trails, and even learning how to be a scientist and build structures. This program is not only a wonderful learning experience for our K-3 students but also allows Grade 3 students to demonstrate leadership with the younger ones.

We’re also thrilled about our students’ involvement in the Battle of the Books, scheduled for March 5th, as well as upcoming events like spirit days, Pink Shirt Day, and a Valentine’s day dance organized by the Grade 7 students.

CPE is a diverse and wonderful community of learners, and we aim to carry the spirit of kindness and friendship into the month of February. A big thank you to our staff, parents, and students for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment at CPE!

Winter Carnival-Fri. Feb 9th 5-8pm

Our CPE PAC Winter Carnival is back and it’s only a few days away!  It takes an awful lot of parent help to have an awful lot of fun at our carnival, so parents please ensure that you’ve volunteered your time to help at the carnival. Sign up for a shift on the sheet that already went home or reach out to the CPE PAC on Facebook and they’ll be happy to sign you up. Cakes, cakes, cakes! One of the most popular activities at the Carnival is our Musical Cakes that requires you to donate a cake!  Please fill out, and send in your cake donation form ASAP!
