R.A.I.S.E. “Respect all individuals, self and the environment”

Principal’s Message

Spring has arrived and our classes are in full bloom. We are using the whole community to facilitate our learning, from the river for outdoor classrooms to the rock council in our playground. 9 square in the air is still in full use and our mud kitchen was so loved we needed to move it to help monitor expectations for use.

Speaking of outside learning, please help your child to be ready to learn in outdoor and indoor environments with hats, sunscreen, jackets, and shoes…..yes shoes must be worn outside for safety and clean shoes inside. Our new gym floor is so appreciated by all that work there.

In April we asked students how their goals were coming, and we still have a month and a half to reach them. Thanks for helping them engage in self-directed goal-setting and achievement.

In May and June, you will see butterflies, chicks, sports day, and mountain biking. Our grade 2 and 5 students will swim for 3 sessions and our grade 7 students will golf. We will all come together for Sports Day as well.

Our lessons and learning continue right up until the end of June. We sure know how to make learning look more like fun and less like work. When June arrives, we will love to hear all about your progress. Please stay informed about all the events on the CPE website and by viewing your email for updates.
